This Month on The whatsaJosh Broadcast: We Return to Eloise
Each month on The whatsaJosh Broadcast, I like to connect the dots between the different sides of what I do — from the mic to the camera, from music to mystery. It all comes together in the Paranormal Exploring Project, and this month, we’re highlighting a location that took things to a whole new level: the haunted Eloise Asylum near Detroit.
You’ve probably heard me talk about this one on the show. It was wild. Emotional. And at times — overwhelming. Because when you’re inside a place like Eloise, you’re not just visiting a building… you’re stepping into layers of pain, fear, and history that demand your attention.
Why Eloise?
Eloise Asylum is infamous for a reason. Once a self-contained city with its own fire department and zip code, it housed more than 10,000 patients at its peak. Decades of institutional care — and neglect — have left a spiritual imprint on every hallway. This is the kind of place where even skeptics admit something’s… off.
We didn’t take that lightly.
What Happened There
On this trip, I was joined by psychic medium Tammy Schuster and our friend Jackie. What started as a walk-through of the fifth floor — once home to the criminally insane — quickly turned into one of our most intense sessions. We heard unexplained noises, felt shifts in energy, and even had what we believe was a visit from Tammy’s late grandmother — something that always seems to happen when danger might be near.
Later, inside an isolation cell, we experienced one of the most chilling flashlight sessions we’ve ever documented. The silence was deafening, the energy thick. And when the flashlight began turning on and off in response to our questions — we knew we had made contact.
It Wasn’t Just Creepy — It Was Powerful
We go into every investigation hoping to make a connection. But this time, it felt like the building reached back. And that changes you.
