This month’s Paranormal Exploring Project feature takes us to one of the creepiest and most atmospheric places we’ve ever stepped into — the abandoned Williams County Jail in rural Ohio.
For those new here, the Paranormal Exploring Project started a few years back as a way for me to explore eerie, forgotten, and allegedly haunted places — just to see if those ghost-hunting shows we binge on TV had any truth to them. Eventually, the project became more than just a solo curiosity.
That’s when Psychic Medium Tammy Schuster came into the picture.
I first met Tammy years ago when I was hosting mornings at 106 KHQ in Northern Michigan. We reconnected, and she started joining me on investigations — bringing her intuitive abilities to the mix. Let’s just say… things got a lot more interesting.
Last month, we featured our investigation of the Middle Point School, where Tammy predicted a “school carnival” vibe before we even got inside. This month, we’re turning the spotlight to the Williams County Jail — and once again, her predictions didn’t disappoint.
This jail has a dark past, said to be haunted by the spirit of a man responsible for one of the area’s most brutal crimes. During the night, Tammy sensed the presence of a killer, a wife, and even a caretaker spirit.
But the one that really got us?
She predicted a Christmas Room inside the jail. At first, it sounded absurd — a holiday-themed space in an old, rusting lockup? But sure enough… we found it. No prior knowledge. No hints. She just knew. And that was only the beginning.
