On April 1, 2025, 40-year-old Florida charter captain Brock Horner was caught on video confronting 22-year-old fisherman Gage Towles on the Peace River in Punta Gorda. The footage shows Horner boarding Towles’ boat without permission, grabbing his shirt, and threatening him, all while declaring himself “the best charter captain you’ll ever meet in your motherf—ing life.”
This confrontation stemmed from an incident on March 30, when Horner claimed another boat nearly collided with his in the dark. Believing Towles was responsible, Horner confronted him days later, despite Towles denying involvement and stating his boat was properly lit.
Horner was arrested and charged with burglary with assault or battery. The video has since gone viral, leading to widespread condemnation and significant backlash against Horner’s business.
